Need a strong, permanent replacement to a missing tooth?

Complete Dental Implant Treatment

With advances in dental technology, teeth replacement techniques have progressed remarkably. Dental implants have revolutionized the way teeth were replaced with traditional means like full or partial dentures. In just 30 years, they have become the best teeth-replacing option. Dental implants are the closest you can get to natural, healthy, and fully-functional teeth.

A dental implant is a titanium screw which is surgically placed in the jaw to act as a false tooth root for dental prosthetics like crowns, bridges, or dentures. The basis for dental implants is osseointegration. It is a biologic process which allows biocompatible materials like titanium to integrate with the natural bone and become a part of it. Due to osseointegration, dental implants or false tooth roots become well integrated with the jawbone. Connectors or abutments are attached to implants to hold dental prosthetics in place.

Step 1

Step 2

After the patient has been deemed as an eligible or ideal candidate to receive dental implants, the implant site is prepared. A general anesthetic is used to numb the site and an incision is made in the gums. A hole is drilled in the jawbone and a dental implant is secured in position. The gums are then sutured back. A temporary dental prosthetic is placed over the surgical site to protect it and restore the tooths functionality.

The extraction site is then allowed to heal for 4-6 months. During this period, the implant becomes an integral part of the surrounding bone.

Step 3

After the dental implant has successfully integrated with the bone, the patient will be called in for a final appointment. The temporary dental prosthetic is removed a permanent custom designed crown or bridge is installed in place.

Why do I Need a Dental Implant?

Living without one or more of your teeth can be painful and unhealthy. It can also destroy your confidence, and make you reluctant to smile or speak naturally. Temporary or impermanent replacements, such as a bridge or dentures, can fill in the gap, but they will not look or feel the same as your natural teeth, and can cause other problems, including damage to otherwise healthy teeth that are being used to support the artificial device, bone loss, and deterioration in the bone structure of your face.

Same-Day Dental Implants

Many of our patients come in being quite certain of two things: 1) they want their smiles transformed beautifully and 2) they don’t want it to take forever.

In order to accommodate our patients’ needs, we have set up our office to cater to those who want immediate treatment, including same-day dental implants.

Using the latest computer-aided dental implant technology, our doctors will complete a full 3D scan of your mouth and jaw when you come in and create a treatment plan on the spot.

Once we have established what it will take to successfully place your dental implants, in most cases your treatment can begin immediately.v

All of your Beverly Hills dental implants treatment procedure will be done by specialist Dr. Kourosh Maddahi, DDS, and our in-house periodontist.
